Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Foundation & other new products I'm loving

Surprise, surprise: I went online shopping a month ago. In search of a high-end foundation I did a small research on which brand, which shade, which foundation to select and of course where to buy it. If it's one thing I'm good at it's definitely figuring out where to get a product for lowest price possible. I can proudly anounce I have a PhD about this topic (for my fellow slovenian readers: mogoče sem pa samo gorenjka).

After loads of sleepless nights and nightmares about which foundation to choose I decided for YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint foundation and I'm not even gonna lie, 50% of my decision was based on the packaging. The other 50% were: light to medium coverage, longwearing, easy to apply, matching shade. Easy peasy!

I bought the YSL Touche Éclat foundation on Notino.at an austrian online shop (which is also available in Slovenia under the name Salma.si by Notino and many other countries for that matter). I got some other products there as well. One of them was a repurchase and other two were something I really wanted to try out.

Lookfantastic Beauty Box: the Indulge Me Edition

This month has come to an end and I'm finally having time to write a post about October's Lookfantastic Beauty Box.This month's edition includes loads of brand that are entirely new to me - which is great.

NYX Liquid Suede Metallic Matte Swatches + Review (Full range)

"Matte is dead, long live metallic matte!"

As you probably noticed the "matte trend" is subject of a strange transformation. We're not seing that much of completely matte-matte lips anymore, but a palette of matte variations (semi-matte, metallic matte etc.). In my opinion metallic mattes aren't as wearable as the simple mattes on everydasy basis, but they're a perfect addition to your lipstick or liquid lipstick collection if you'd like to spice things up an be "oh so trendy".

By the way all following photos are exactly as they came out of my camera, no contrast was altered. What you see is what you get. Some of the shades are brighter and slightly intenser in "real-life".

3 tips for beautiful skin with Lookfantastic x thisworks Beauty Box

I've always had good skin. Every now and then life blessed me with a pimple or two and those were the most devastating times of my life (I'm not even exaggerating). I took beautiful and healthy looking skin for granted. Ever since I got off contraceptive pill my skin hasn't been the same. I've had good and bad days. And some really bad days this month when stress, cool weather and everything else came together.

I wanted to share with you 3 tips for beautiful and healthy looking skin which are helping me restore my skin to its original state (i.e. flawless complexion :D).

Lookfantastic Beauty Box - The Birthday Edition

  Discovering beauty boxes...

I've always prefered travel-sized makeup and skincare products, because I like trying out new things and almost never stick to a single product for a longer period of time. I still remember how excited I was when I discovered beauty boxes. My first ever Beauty Box was Douglas Box of Beauty and I still enjoy the box and its content.
Beauty Boxes to me are especially appealing because they offer luxury sizes of more expensive and high end products sometimes. I can test these out before I actually commit to buying fullsize. On the long run I save loads of money that way, because some products just don't preform as well as they claim, so trying things thoroughly out before buying them is great. I won't generalize and say all beauty boxes are great and offer a good quality-price ratio, but the ones I buy, definitely are (I'm referring to the only ones I like currently - Douglas Box of Beauty and Lookfantastic Beauty Box).

Lookfantastic Beauty Box "Global Glamour" August Edition

Another month, another beauty box. This month's box under the motto "Global Glamour" offers beauty bits from all over the world.
If you want to see which products were included in this month's edition keep on reading/scrolling :)

Current Beauty Favourites (August)

It's been a while since I talked about my favourite beauty products. This post includes some of the makeup products that I've been loving (and using) throughout the entire summer. And I'm quite aware it's still August but I definitely won't be buying anything in upcoming weeks. :D

Lookfantastic Beauty Box "Pretty in Paradise" July Edition

Summertime is the perfect occasion for trying out new beauty products in practical travel friendly sizes. I'll not lie, I prefer travel sizes over fullsizes during anytime of the year, simply because I get tired of using the same products over and over again. In my previous posts I've already mentioned some of the beauty boxes I really like (as dm Box and Douglas Box of Beauty which is my absolute favourite). This month I'm trying out Lookfantastic's Beauty Box Pretty in Paradise July Edition which includes skincare and makeup products for summer: everything from sunscreen to glowing, healthy looking skin and hair.

NYX EPIC INK LIP DYE: Swatches and review (+ GIVEAWAY)

As you probably noticed on my social media accounts I recieved a huge package from NYX Austria filled with some of their newly launched products. Today I'll be reviewing the NYX Epic Ink Lip Dye  - a hybrid between a normal liquid lipstick and lip stain. The range includes 12 shades. Some of the shades are super wearable (for me), others are not exactly the kind of colour I would normally wear, but there's definitely at least one shade that would appeal to anyone.

MuLondon Moisturiser: Multitasker in skincare

I remember reading about MuLondon products on Jana's blog. I immediately googled the brand because I was being curious about it. If I'm honest I've never been conscious about ingredients and what I put on my skin. I tried to be, but I also like pretty packaging and I'm not 100% immune to marketing of all the big and shiny skincare corporations (with their "magic" ingredients and unclear politics towards animal testing etc.) that society seems to approve.
This is why MuLondon spoke to me. Their moisturisers have a very short list of ingredients and you don't have to be an expert or have a PhD in chemistry to understand the listed ingredients. Sometimes it really feels good to know what exactly you're putting on your skin. It's also nice to know exactly where and how a product is made. MuLondon range is certified organic, cruelty-free and vegan (& also a member of 1% for the Planet and is a Certified B Corporation).

L.O.V Spring 2017 Update (New products)

L.O.V recently launched some new products and I got three of them. In general I've had positive experience with this brand. I love their modern yet minimalistic packaging and good quality at relatively low price. I was particulary impressed by L.O.V LipAffair Lipsticks in shade 521 Verena's Rose and 500 Sina's Nude. Pigmentation is great, lipsticks are formulated scent free and they're very comfortable to wear. Price is around 10€ each.

If you'd like to know what I think about some of their newly launched products, keep on reading.

Estee Lauder Eye Repair + Concealer Set (Great Value Set)

There's been a lot of fuss about Estee Lauder's Double Wear Concealer. I've read tons of good reviews about it and naturally wanted to see if it's really that good. Since concealer is something I'm not really willing to spend loads of money on, I was quite intrigued by Estee Lauder Eye Repair + Concealer Set. If you ask me this is a great Value set for 8,95€. You get Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer (1.9 ml) and Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex II (5 ml) eye cream. And I'm not exaggerating if I say that I'll have this tiny jar of eye cream for aproximately four months. Concealer will probably run out in one or maybe two months.

Melvita Nectar de Miels: New Ultra Nourishing Comforting Face Cream

I haven't written a review yet, but I've been using Melvita Jojoba Oil on a weekly basis since November and have been loving it. It absorbs very quickly (for an oil) and doesn't leave a heavy film on skin.
Today I want to talk about a freshly launched product from Melvita called Ultra nourishing comforting balm, a new face cream from their Nectar de Miels line. As the name suggests Melvita's new face cream from their Nectar de Miels line is formulated to target dry or very dry skin.

Vichy Idéalia Night Peeling Care - Glycolic Acid for Sensitive skin

Recently Vichy renewed their Idéalia line and also launched a novelty - Idéalia Peeling Care with 4% Glycolic Acid and 5% Hepes. Vichy describe the Idéalia Peeling as a unique water-light formula with the power of a serum to refine pores, improve the skin texture and smooth fine lines in just four weeks.

Douglas Box of Beauty December 2016

Better late than never right? I thought about not writing a review of the latest Box of Beauty from Douglas, but the content is just too good to not give it its 15 minutes of fame. The box costs only 12€ and you get one fullsize product and three or four luxury samples.
